ASAAP Happenings.....
Our non-profit organization is striving to become the "go-to" people in substance abuse prevention. We would not be able to do what we do without the support of our community. With that said, a person can only imagine with our Mission and Vision statements listed above, there is still plenty of work ahead of us. Whether you live in Adams, Clay, Nuckolls or Webster Counties, we are attempting to change the attitudes and bring awareness of the dangers of substance abuse.
We are making some progress in several of our strategies. To mention a few they are: quarterly youth events, quarter Coalition breakfasts, school strategies of curricula with grades K-12(Protecting You/Protecting Me 1st-5th grade, Project Alert -middle school and 3rd Millinium Classrooms for 9th-10th grade), Pre and post tests among youth, alcohol and tobacco compliance checks with retailers, quarter newsletter, and coalition meetings. We continue to build the coalition one person at a time in the hopes for sustainability with our vision/mission.
